Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 1, 2026
The short version: We don't track you. We don't sell your data. Your journal entries never leave your device. We built these tools for people doing sacred work, and we treat your privacy accordingly.
Who We Are
Morning Fire Publishing ("we," "our," "us") builds digital tools and publishes books for people in recovery and on paths of spiritual growth. Our products include Morning Fire Daily, The Big Book Code, and our published books.
If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
Our Core Privacy Principles
These aren't legal hedges. These are commitments:
- Your journal is yours. Journal entries in Morning Fire Daily are stored on your device only. We cannot read, access, or retrieve them — even if you ask us to.
- Anonymous by default. We do not require your name, email address, or any personally identifying information to use our tools.
- No tracking. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking technology.
- No data sales. Ever. We have never sold user data, and we never will.
What We Collect
Information You Provide
If you contact us by email, we'll have the information you chose to share — typically your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you and then retain it only as long as necessary.
Automatically Collected Information
Our website may collect basic server logs that your browser sends whenever you visit a page. This may include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visited. This information is used solely for maintaining server security and performance. We do not link this information to any individual identity.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Names or personal identifiers
- Location data
- Journal entries or personal writing
- Health or recovery information
- Browsing history across other sites
- Device identifiers for advertising purposes
How Your Data Is Stored
On-Device Storage
Morning Fire Daily stores your journal entries, settings, and personal data locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers. If you delete the app or clear your device's data, this information is permanently erased — we have no backup copy.
Our Servers
We maintain minimal server infrastructure. Where services require server communication (such as The Big Book Code's AI features), we process requests without storing personally identifiable information. Queries are not logged with identifiers tied to you.
Third-Party Services
We limit third-party services to what is strictly necessary for our tools to function:
- Hosting: Our website is hosted on servers that maintain standard security practices and server logs.
- AI Services: The Big Book Code may use third-party AI services to process text queries. These queries do not include your identity or personal information.
We do not use any advertising networks, social media trackers, analytics platforms, or data brokers.
Cookies
Our website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality (such as remembering your session state). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind.
Children's Privacy
Our products are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Your Rights
Because we collect so little information, most privacy rights are already fulfilled by default. However, you have the right to:
- Ask what data we hold about you (likely none beyond a support email)
- Request deletion of any data we do hold
- Contact us with any privacy concern
For any privacy-related requests, email us at [email protected].
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. We will never change our core commitments: your data stays yours, and we don't track or sell it.
